Parking direction in Rieti

I, personally like to keep stress to a minimum when travelling, and always go for the easiest option – I recommend anyone to do the same. When booking your hotel, always check to see if they offer any kind of parking facility. Most hotels offer free parking, or charge a small fee, which is included in the room price. The best thing about this option is, that you don’t have to worry about when to pick your car off – just leave it the whole day if you need to.

There are also various options for parking around the city centre, most of which allow you to park for the day, or sometimes longer for just a few Euros 11euro/day available the down town car park Oberdan Mazzini. It is also advisable to check with your car rental agency if you have one on the best places to park in and around Rieti – they will be able to give you complete pricing information, as well as inform you of the proper rules for [parking] in Rieti or in any other part of Italy you choose to visit

Overview
Rieti, the ancient capital of Sabina and its territory are set in a beautiful mountainous area with some of the most breathtaking scenery to be found in Italy, with many sights in the area bearing witness to the presence of St. Francis of Assisi. The Rieti province is located in Lazio, in central Italy, on the slopes of the Sabini and Reatini mountains and is a mostly mountainous area, and an important centre in ancient times. In Rieti there is evidence of both Roman and medieval past, when the city became a Libero Comune (free city-state) and later, it was the home to the Popes.

Getting there and around
Rieti is nicely situated in central Italy, making it easily accessible from most parts of the country within only a few hours driving time. If coming from Rome, then take the SS4 and follow the signs for Rieti. Alternatively, if coming from Bari, then take the A14 and follow the signs for Rieti. No matter what, I will always advise you to check before leaving home, the best routes for your journey and, of course, keep yourself updated on the latest traffic announcements. By doing this, you can try to avoid any problems or delays before they occur. I couldn’t imagine a more annoying situation than sitting in a traffic jam for hours on end on a summers’ day.

Top pick for Rieti
The centre of Rieti is the most ancient part of the city and is spread around the central hub of Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, with the Fontana dei Delfini (Fountain of the Dolphins). Just opposite, is the Palazzo Comunale, with its original structure of the 13th century partly occupied by the Museo Civico, where archaeological finds dating from the ninth century BC to the late Roman period are kept as well as paintings dating from the 14th century to those of contemporary times
