One sight that is a must-see during your visit to Perugia is the Galleria Nazionale dell Umbria.
Located inside the Palazzo dei Priori, this former art gallery has an important and impressive collection of art that dates back to between the 13th and 19th century. The gallery has more than 3,000 works by artists who, in some way or another, are connected to Umbria, meaning their artworks represent a small historical treasure for the region. The Gallery has forty exhibition rooms, where you will find paintings by Giovanni Pisano, Gentile da Fabriano or Benedetto Bonfigli. After visiting the gallery, you should also stop by the Palazzo dei Priori, a beautiful building in a Gothic style from the age of the medieval communes. This palace is located in the city centre, meaning you dont have to go very far in order to admire and contemplate the life and movement of this city.A few steps from the Palazzo dei Priori, following Via della Gabbia street, you will end up reaching the Piazza IV Novembre square, considered by citizens to be the most beautiful square in the old town. In fact, this square also holds the title of being the oldest in the city. Here the visitor can admire the Fontana Maggiore fountain and the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. If youd like to comfortably visit these attractions in Perugia, Saba has several car parks in the area to facilitate your trip to this Italian city. These public car parks are available 24 hours a day and offer a high-quality security service. The nearest Saba car park can be found on Via Angusta. If you visit this area, you can also stop at the neighbourhoods local market, known as Mercato di Coperto. Here you will find delicious local products and experience the flavour of rural Italy.
